01 · Where it started

The starting point

The client is a real estate brokerage working Langley and Surrey in BC. Before this build its site ran on a rented platform at $990 a month: a monthly payment for a site the brokerage did not own.

Renting is not always wrong. But a brokerage that pays every month for its web presence and keeps none of it when it stops paying is renting the one asset that should compound. The brief was to replace the platform with a site the client owns.

02 · The build

What we built

The site covers the homepage, homes for sale, home value, selling and presale pages, with live MLS listings on the site. It sits on the client's own domain and replaces the rented platform.

The build is the clearest example in the portfolio of the gold page method. 1 page was driven to an approved gold standard, section by section, and then 8 siblings were templated off it as a pure data operation.

03 · The method

How the build ran

  1. 01

1 gold page, approved section by section

The first page was designed and built hero first, with the client's call at every gate. Nothing moved on until they approved what was in front of them.

  2. 02

8 siblings as a data operation

Once the gold page was approved, each sibling was produced from data rather than designed again. The layout, the section order and the QA bar come from the approved page; what changes per page is the data behind it.

  3. 03

    Listings that stay current

Live MLS listings run on the site, so the homes for sale pages show current inventory rather than a list someone has to update by hand.

  4. 04

    Owned, not rented

Every page sits on the client's domain. The site stays theirs whether or not they keep working with us, which is the difference from the platform it replaced.

04 · What this build demonstrates

How 1 approved page becomes a whole library without a design cycle per page, and the own it instead of renting it angle. If you are paying a platform every month for a site you could own, this build is the comparison to make.

The gold page method is the same one behind every library we ship: agree the standard once, on 1 real page, then hold every sibling to it. The SEO page libraries page shows how it scales from 8 siblings to 300.

What we publish, and what we hold back

The client's name and domain are withheld until they approve being named. The $990 a month platform cost and the page structure come from the build record, August 2026.

We do not publish traffic or lead numbers for this build. The record holds what was replaced and what was built, so that is what this page claims.
